We had a great turn-out from OUSL and sister organisations for our tour of the EIB Art Collection led by Delphine Munro, Head of EIB Arts & Culture. The EIB collection is vast, comprising a number of Old Masters and a wealth of 19th – and 20th- century artworks, with only the tip of the iceberg on public display. The EIB have enlarged the criteria for their artists-in-residence, which now not only encompasses EU citizens, but also non-EU citizens who are currently working/studying art within the EU.
Divided into two groups due to numbers, our tour concentrated on the current exhibited art works by budding , and in a few cases also more established, young artists. (see photos below).
We are extremely grateful to Peter and Delphine Munro for facilitating this great event in cooperation with our committee member Sam Vinandy-Lau. We owe a warm thanks in particular to Delphine for her expert guidance, where she generously shared her rich experience and insight into modern art and artists.
Afterwards, a good part of the alumni guests gathered for a good meal at the Restaurant Culturando, well sheltered from the icy January rain.
