On January 14th, we have literary evening with our member, James Leader (Wadham, 1983), who will be discussing his new novel ‘Into Babel’. The book is now #1 in the Ernster bestseller list and its first run sold out within a few weeks!
‘Into Babel’ is a comedy about the European School and the EU institutions. It asks some hard questions about being English and becoming European. Fellow Oxonian and novelist Olivia Katrandjian will moderate. The aim is to have a lively discussion about some of the themes of the novel – it will be very informal and fun.
The event will take place at the Café des Capucins in the centre of town (near the Cinemathèque and the Place du Théâtre) from 7pm to 9 pm. To register please mail James.
